Data Deletion Instructions

At Cognitoz AI (provided by Cognitoz I.T Services Sdn. Bhd.), we value your privacy and are committed to giving you full control over your personal data. If you have used Cognitoz AI, connected our application to Facebook, or registered an account using other methods and wish to request the deletion of your account and associated data, please follow the instructions below.

In accordance with global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and platform policies (such as Meta/Facebook Developer Platform Policies), we provide multiple convenient ways to delete your personal data.


1. Delete Directly via the Cognitoz AI Platform

The easiest and fastest way to delete your account and all associated data is directly from your Cognitoz AI Workspace:

  1. Log into your account at https://app.cognitoz.ai.
  2. Navigate to your Account Settings (accessible via your profile picture in the top-right corner).
  3. Select the Security & Privacy tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Delete Account section.
  5. Click Delete Account and confirm the action by entering your password or typing the verification phrase.

Once confirmed, your account will be immediately scheduled for permanent deletion.

2. Request Data Deletion via Email Support

If you cannot access your account or prefer to have our support team handle the request manually, you can submit a deletion request via email:

  • Email Address: [email protected]
  • Subject Line: Data Deletion Request - [Your Account Email]
  • Information to Include:
    • Your full name
    • The registered email address of your Cognitoz AI account
    • Any third-party login method used (e.g., Facebook Login, Google Login)

Upon receipt of your email, our security team will verify your identity and process the deletion of your data within 24 to 48 hours. You will receive a confirmation email once the process is complete.

3. Disconnect and Delete via Facebook (Meta Login)

If you created your Cognitoz AI account using Facebook Login, you can disconnect the application and request deletion of your data directly through your Facebook settings:

  1. Go to your Facebook profile’s Settings & Privacy > Settings.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click on Apps and Websites.
  3. Locate Cognitoz AI from the list of active apps and click Remove.
  4. A confirmation dialog will appear. Check the box to "Delete posts, videos or events Cognitoz AI published on your timeline" if you want Facebook integrations removed.
  5. Click Remove again to finalize.
  6. To request deletion of previously synced data, you can click on View details next to Cognitoz AI in the Removed tab and select Send Request (or visit https://www.cognitoz.ai/data-delete to request deletion manually).

What Data is Permanently Deleted?

When your data deletion request is processed:

  • Account Credentials & Profile: Your username, email address, password hash, profile avatar, and contact details are permanently erased.
  • Workspace Data: All generated AI content, documents, chat histories, vision analysis inputs, rewritten texts, and voiceover outputs are deleted.
  • Third-Party Integration Keys: Saved integration tokens, connection credentials, and authorization certificates are wiped from our active servers.
  • Usage History: System metadata and activity logs tied to your account ID are anonymized or removed.

What Data is Retained?

We only retain data that we are legally or contractually obligated to keep:

  • Billing & Transaction Logs: Legally mandated transaction invoices, payment histories (processed securely via Stripe), and basic company registry logs are kept strictly for tax compliance, accounting, and anti-fraud purposes.
  • Security Logs: Anonymous access logs that do not identify any specific individual may be retained temporarily to ensure system integrity.
